Organized in 1968 as a private non-profit organization, Sumter Senior Services is designated as the focal point for aging services in Sumter County for programs, services, information and advocacy for older adults. Sumter Senior Services is part of a statewide network of service providers for seniors who work under the direction of the Bureau of Long Term Care and Senior Services, a division of the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
