Senior Farmer's Market
This year’s Senior Farmers’ Market vouchers were distributed at our centers from June 12th through the 14th. The program allows senior in our community, age 60 and older, to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from farmers’ markets, roadside stands, and community-supported agriculture programs. Participants received $25 in the form of five $5 vouchers to spend at authorized farmers’ markets and stands. On Wednesday, June 19th Sumter Senior Services invited local farmers to set up at our main site located on 119 S. Sumter St. We look forward to having them back in September.
